Terminal 3 Opened in 1961, and currently 43 airline operate from it servicing some 15.5 million passengers. For passenger connivance Terminal 3 is linked to Terminal 2 by moving walkways.

Terminal 3 is in the main airport complex off junction 4 of the M4 motorway and is reached through the main approach tunnel - follow the signs after Terminals 1 and 2.

Don't Forget to check before you leave home you have remembered the following: Passports, Tickets and spare money in you hand luggage. Remember Enhanced security measures means that checking in can take longer than it used to. It is advised that you arrive at the airport in plenty of time. Check with your airline the allocated baggage allowance and don't pack any of the following: Scissors, Razor blades, Knives with blades of any length, Household cutlery, Hypodermic needles (unless required for medical reasons), Knitting needles. If you are unsure about a certain item please check with your airline before you arrive.

Check In Information for Terminal 3
London Heathrow Check-in is located on the ground floor at the front of the building and departures is above check-in on the first floor.

Self Service Check-In
Self service check-in is available with some airlines; it is simple and safe to use and can save you a lot of time at the airport. Self service check-in is available both online and in kiosks located at the airport. Terminal 3 has kiosks located near the standard check-in desks. You can use this service if you are flying with the following airlines:

Terminal 3-- Departures
Bureaux de Change
Four Bureau de Change in the departures concourse, two in the public area and two in the passenger area. American Express and Travelex, open 05:00 - 22:00.
Cash Dispensers
Change handle most international and domestic cards.
Food and Drink
There is a number of restaurants and cafes on the Departures floor, there is also a burger bar and a pub in the shopping area. There are also a number of food and drink outlets in the public area of the departures concourse.
Information Desk
There are a number of airport enquiries desk, one opposite stairs to mezzanine level and one near the meeting point in the public area.
Internet Access
There are fixed internet points available before and after security. There are also wireless hotspots in the public and passenger area of the departures concourse, allowing you to enjoy wireless internet from your laptop.
Left Luggage
None on Departures level, the nearest is in Arrivals.
Luggage Trolleys
Free, available outside the terminal and occasionally in the car park.
Medical
Heathrow Health Centre (opening hours: 07:00 -19:00) is located on the ground floor between terminals 1 and 2 in the Queens Building. There are also a number of pharmacies located before and after security in terminal 3.
Pay Phones
Located throughout the floor. Fax facility on some phones.
Postal Services
Mail boxes and stamp machines are available in the public area of the departures concourse, and then again in the passenger area after security.
Smoking Area
Main smoking area in the departures concourse, in the passenger area, next to the O'Neil's pub.
Entertainment
There is a video games area on the extreme right hand end of the Departures level opposite the pharmacy
Shopping
A varied selection of outlets. Wider choice at duty free prices available in the passenger area of the departures concourse.
Toilets
At each end of the building, with disabled facilities in both plus a baby change room at the left hand end near the catering outlets. There are also shower facilities available in the passenger area, after passing security control.
Worship
One on the first floor of the arrivals building, and one in departures (after security control), near the Chez Gérard restaurant.
Terminal 3 - Arrivals
Bureaux de Change
Five Bureaux de Change in the arrivals concourse. American Express and Travelex open 05:15 - 21:30. Two located in the baggage reclaim area and three in the passenger area.
Cash Dispensers
Near the meeting point in the public area of the arrivals concourse. Providing facilities for most international and domestic cards.
Hotel Reservations
There is a hotel desk in the Information desk.
Food and Drink
Meals, snacks and drinks available.
Information Desk
In middle of main Arrivals area near the Bureaux de Change.
Internet Access
There is a wireless hotspot located in the arrivals area, allowing you to enjoy wireless internet from your laptop.

Left luggage facilities available at a cost of £6 per item per 24 hours. Opening hours: 05:00 - 23:00.

The airport chapel is located beside the control tower and opposite Terminal 2 car park.

Access to short stay car park by lift to Departures level and covered walkway.
Car Rental
Major companies have desks on right of terminal towards Exit 1.
Taxi
Taxi rank on forecourt. Follow signs to Exit 2.
Train
Follow signs to the Underground or Heathrow Express for services to London. Access ramp and stairs between Exit 1 & 2.
Bus services
Limited services available at bus station through Exit 2. Most buses also stop at the main coach station. Follow the signs.
Terminal 3 - Check-in
Bureaux de Change
One Bureaux de Change. Travelex open 05:30 to 22:00 next to the information point.
Postal Service
Mail bin immediately after passport control.
