
London, the capital city of England is the financial, cosmopolitan, cultural and tourist hub. A crucial settlement for approximately two millennia, It is presently one of the world's major business and financial centre, with considerable involvement in culture, education, entertainment, media, fashion politics, and arts all lend to its position as one of the key cities in the world.
London is the biggest & most populous city in the European Union. Its population is very cosmopolitan, drawing from a diverse range of peoples, cultures & faiths, speaking over 300 dissimilar languages. Occupants of London are referred to as Londoners.
London has five international airports. Apart from serving as the largest aviation center on the planet, its main airport Heathrow, is the busiest airport in the world. Heathrow is conveniently connected with the city, the easiest being the tube which runs just below the airport when you exit out of Terminal 2. It recently opened its Terminal 5 which is estimated to carry 35 million passengers a year at capacity.

London is the centre of culture in conditions of arts, music, festivals, museums etc. It has hundreds of new shows in theatres and hundreds of thousands of visitors annually. It has world class theatres to cater to this audience, one of the oldest being the St. Martins on Leicester Square. Theatre is very popular. |
